New Directions

Today, Wednesday, January 25...Hmmh.

A decision was made on MLK day, the 18th to pursue the BSN from UCF.  In little over a week, I've ascertained the requirements and scheduling (possibilities based on previous semesters).  The BSN course begins in January, and is available in Cocoa, Daytona Beach, and Orlando.  An accelerated program is available in Orlando only, beginning in September.  Obviously, Cocoa will be my campus.  There are several prerequisites that must be completed before I can apply to program.

Thusly, I've mapped out the outstanding prereqs that will be completed at BCC.  I went  Monday to Palm Bay Admissions to change my major, one of the things required to take classes (I was a Dec. 2009 graduate) and I also had to provide a UCF transcript reflecting the completion of my BA which I received in August of last year.

The classes I need to take this year at BCC are:   Human Nutrition, Developmental Psychology, Anatomy and Physiology I & II, Microbiology, and Chemistry.  I've enrolled in Human Nutrition and Dev. Psyche for this semester, or mini-mester which begins Feb. 6.  I have the books and have been perusing them.  I've managed to overload a professor that I had for Comm II and General Psyche--Edna Perkins.  I'll have her for Dev.Psyche.  Her Comm II class was the first one I had when I returned to college in the Fall of 2005.  She had enormous influence on the direction my studies took, my attitude, and motivation.

I'll be using this blog to keep a record of my progress.
